The Focal Shape Twin Studio Monitor is ideal for professional mixing and mastering purposes, with its combination of premium-grade components and years of expertise from Focal. The highly unique design features two passive radiators, woofers, Flax cones and a aluminium/magnesium inverted dome tweeter. The tweet provides very low directivity, allowing you to find your optimal listening position with ease. The double passive radiator means you can place the monitors near a wall, without the fear of unwanted vibrations. It also boasts high sound pressure levels, ensuring maximum power and clarity when it comes to mixing and mastering.

Exceptional Audio Fidelity & Performance

The combination of premium-grade components and a wide frequency response result in exceptional audio fidelity, capturing every nuance of your source audio. The Flax sandwich cone provides powerful and well defined bass, with a natural sounding lower and upper mid-range. The result is accurate stereo imaging. One of the most unique features of the monitors is the Neutral Inductance Circuit technology. The NIC tech provides control over the magnetic field of the monitor, designed to eliminate distortion before it happens. The TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) boasts a linear frequency response curve between 1 and 2kHz, helping to reduce distortion in the range, for optimal neutrality.

Design & Connectivity

The unique enclosure not only looks sleek but includes a range of design aspects designed to optimise the audio performance. The monitors are driven by a trilogy of Class AB amplifiers, providing high sound pressure levels for a range of applications. The enclosure itself is an MDF cabinet with a natural walnut veneer, specially selected for its acoustic properties. The rear of the monitor features a small control panel toward the top. It features controls for adjusting the bass and treble response, as well as an adjustable crossover at 160Hz. A releasable high-pass filter is also included for mixing purposes. Additionally, the Focal Shape Twin features both XLR and RCA inputs so you can use it with a range of equipment including audio interfaces.
