The Directivity Control Waveguide technology ensures accurate reproduction on both on and off axis to provide a wider and more controlled listening area, ensuring you are hearing each frequency range clearly. The Minimum Diffraction Enclosure is optimised to match the properties of the monitor driver, featuring a smart design that minimises diffractions for colour-free audio.
The Genelec 8330APM Bi-Amplified Smart Active Monitor is centered around Genelec's advanced SAM systems, providing advanced and flexible monitoring. The Smart Active Monitor system is designed to adapt to any environment, and provide consistent audio quality across the board. Based on the electro-acoustic blueprints of the 1200, 8000 and 7000 range, the new and improved SAM system will automatically detect and correct levels, delay and environmental issues. The result is optimised audio performance, ensuring you capture every nuance of your source material while retaining the natural harmonic qualities. Any SAM System monitor can also be controlled from the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) network and software for added flexibility.
SAM systems' intelligent GLM AutoCal™ technology (optional extra) improves the precision of monitoring by compensating deficiencies in the listening environment. Based on data from hundreds of listening rooms, GLM AutoCal™ is continuously evolving, thereby enabling SAM systems installed years ago to benefit from improved performance. After automated calibration, based on one or more listening positions, all components in a system play back at the same level and timing, with acoustical colorations removed from the monitors' responses, leaving superb consistency and neutral sound stage imaging.
The innovative Iso-Pod stand from Genelec solves a huge list of problems that can occur when finding the best position for your monitors. It attaches to the aluminium enclosure of your Genelec 8330APM, providing excellent stability and isolation for your monitor. It has four shallow feet and is made from a specialised rubber-like material, and allows for a +/-15 degree tilt of the loudspeaker. This allows the unit to be pointed precisely towards the listener by adjusting the enclosure's inclination with the Iso-Pod. The isolation and damping properties reduce midrange colouration caused by undesirable vibrations being transferred to supporting surfaces. The Iso-Pod provides astonishing benefits in both usability and sound quality.
