What sets the Mackie MR524 apart from standard studio monitors is Mackie's custom logarithmic waveguide and ultra-flat frequency response, providing superior sound reproduction and optimised acoustic performance. The unique waveguide design provides ultra-wide dispersion which results in improved stereo imagining and a wider 'sweet spot', capturing every nuance of your source audio with extreme sonic precision. The accurate acoustic alignment ensures a balanced sound across the full frequency range, allowing you to make informed decisions when it comes to mixing and mastering.
Not only is the MR524 ideal for music production and audio engineering but it is also suited for a range of audio applications including podcasting, DJ'ing and multimedia work. Powered by an 50-watt Class A/B amplifier, the bi-amplified design provides all the power you need for exceptional audio fidelity. Comprised of a 1-inch silk dome tweeter and a 5.25-inch polypropylene woofer, the MR524 delivers a detailed high-end for vocal clarity and a powerful low-end.
Another innovative feature of the MR524 is the adjustable acoustic plate filters, which are designed to maintain a flat frequency response in different workspaces. The rear panel features a three-position switch with handy annotated diagrams, allowing you to select which setting you require designed on your speaker placement. It also features a built-in high-frequency filter which allows you to boost/cut the tweeter to optimise your high-end response depending on your listening position. The rear panel also features a bass-reflex port for added low-end power as well as TRS, XLR and RCA connections.
