Monkey Banana produce a wide range of high-quality audio equipment and studio monitors for professional producers and musicians. The Gibbon AIR 2.0 setup is an active two speaker design, that utilises an active and a passive speaker to create a full monitoring system. The active speaker cabinet connects to the passive speaker via a classic copper cable and both speakers are driven by the amplifier housed in the active cabinet. The speaker cabinets each house a four-inch polypropylene woofer and 3/4 inch silk tweeter that provide a supple low end and a clean, sharp high-frequency response. A control knob imprinted with the monkey banana logo on the front of the active cabinet, allows you to easily adjust the volume.

Inputs, outputs, and Bluetooth

The Gibbon AIR system has three methods of input connection you can choose from. The active cabinet features an RCA input that you can connect from an audio interface, amp, or DJ mixer, it also features an AUX jack on the front of the speaker for connecting any 3.5mm TRS device. The Bluetooth capability lets you connect your smartphone or portable media device wirelessly, this allows you to use the Gibbon Air system to listen to music whilst relaxing or provide the music for parties. The outputs of the Gibbon AIR include a "Phones" 3.5mm TRS out on the front that will let you monitor your audio using only headphones. You can also use a single RCA "Sub Out" output to connect directly to a subwoofer.

Compact and convenient

Easy setup and compact size are great qualities of the Gibbon AIR system. Each cabinet's dimensions are 181mm deep, 150mm wide and 218.7mm tall, an ideal size for putting in small holdall bags and condensed enough not to take up too much space on your desk. Weighing just under 6kg, the highly portable gibbon AIR system is lightweight enough to be carried. The speaker connection cable that connects the passive speaker to the active cabinet is a standard black and red connection cable that can be replaced or switched out for a different length cable that can be easily sourced. The Gibbon AIR system is connected to mains via a Figure 8 power cable that is easy to plug in.
