The subtle presence boost around 2kHz is perfect for pushing any voice or instrument to the forefront of the mix, without sounding harsh or brittle. The U47's relatively flat response ensures the microphone responds well to any form of equalisation and is an excellent starting point to achieve great sounding recordings.
