The track and channel behaviour has been made more consistent, ensuring that disabling a Folder Track linked to a Bus Channel disables all packed tracks and the Bus Channel itself. Crossfades can be easily applied to selected event ranges, and larger gaps between events can be closed using Ranges.

Note-Editing Enhancements

With the PreSonus Studio One 6.5, you have access to a range of note-editing enhancements that make your music production experience even more efficient. The Note Editor includes the Arrow tool, which has two options: Basic and Extended. The Basic option allows you to move and resize notes, while the Extended option adds a smart feature for quick note event editing, including velocity and split options. Additionally, the Split Tool, Eraser Tool, and Velocity can be easily accessed through modifier keys. Another useful feature is the Scale highlighting, which makes it easier to work with musical scales. When a scale filter is selected and active, the Note Editor background will highlight the scale pitches, aiding in the placement of note events. The notes will also automatically snap to the included pitches when dragged.

Industry-Leading Lyrics Integration

Studio One 6.5 introduces industry-leading lyrics integration, making it easier than ever to work with lyrics in your music production. The all-new Global Lyrics Track allows you to create lead sheets with the Score Editor or add lyrics as guideposts to your audio productions. The latest version, 6.1, brings several powerful improvements to the lyrics support on the Song Page. You can now activate Ripple Edit Support, which allows you to swap or rearrange words, lines, or even whole sections with a single move. Scratch Pads provide a convenient way to create alternate lyrics inside a song, allowing you to experiment with different versions. The new Show full lyrics on hover feature allows you to view truncated lyrics simply by hovering over the lyrics event, even when zoomed out. You can also import lyrics from MIDI files, making it effortless to integrate existing lyrics into your projects. Furthermore, the lyrics can be transferred to the Show Page, making them accessible during rehearsals or live performances.

Lyrics Go Live

With the PreSonus Studio One 6.5, you can bring your lyrics to life on stage. The Lyrics View in Performance Mode allows you to display a large scrolling view of your song lyrics on your computer's monitor or tablet. You can easily adjust the size and orientation of the lyrics to fit your needs right from the Performance view. When transferring songs to the Show Page, the lyrics are automatically added to your show. If you need to make adjustments during your live set, you can edit the lyrics directly from the Show Page. The Lyrics View in Performance Mode turns your computer, tablet, or large-screen display into a teleprompter, providing an ideal solution for long-haul performances.

Project Templates

Speed up your workflow with the Project Templates feature in PreSonus Studio One 6.5. This feature allows you to save your preferred main mastering effects chain, including external hardware processors connected via Pipeline. Timecode Viewing in the Video Player

The video window in Studio One now includes an optional large timecode display. The timecode format can be selected from frames, bars, seconds, or samples and it appears beneath the video viewer, ensuring the video image remains free of distracting overlays. Moreover, the size of the timecode display adjusts with the size of the video window.
