Packaged in a tempo-synced format, Rob Papen RP-Distort 2 offers you the ability to select the Spring return of your sphere back to a neutral position based on the tempo of your song to always remain on the beat.
Newly introduced for RP-Distort 2 is the 'Audio Follower' mode that lets the plug-in automatically take control of the Disrupt sphere parameters. Using your audio input as a trigger, you can set a target threshold and connect this to a parameter within the plug-in, allowing RP-Distort 2 to create automated and musical distortion modulation.
Crucial for creating the perfect distortion character that works within the context of your mix is getting the signal flow right. With up to 24 unique signal paths to choose from, you can customise the flow of each module within RP-Distort 2. Experiment with different positionings to unlock creative combinations that get your music heard above the rest. At the bottom of the plug-in, you will find a very handy modulation matrix that allows you to add unpredictability and instability to your sound. The modulation matrix features four sources that can be assigned freely to any of the parameters within the plug-in, offering almost limitless creative potential. Four tempo-synced LFOs are also available with adjustable waveshape and speed and can be mapped to any parameter.
