High-resolution recording with Ultra-HDDA preamps
The Tascam US-16x08 delivers professional-quality sound with
high-resolution recording up to 96 kHz/24-bit. Connecting to your
computer via USB 2.0, the interface ensures reliable and high-speed
data transfer, crucial for maintaining audio fidelity during
recording sessions. Whether youre working on complex studio
projects, recording live performances, or producing podcasts, the
US-16x08 provides the clarity and detail needed for high-quality
output.
Versatile input options
With the Tascam US-16x08, you get a comprehensive array of input
options to suit any recording scenario. This interface offers a
total of 16 mic and line inputs, including eight Ultra-HDDA mic
preamps that provide up to 56 dB of gain. These preamps are known
for their clean and quiet operation, ensuring high-quality audio
capture for both dynamic and condenser microphones. Additionally,
the eight balanced line inputs offer flexibility, with two inputs
switchable to instrument level. This makes direct recording of
guitars or basses straightforward, eliminating the need for
external DI boxes and streamlining your recording setup.
Advanced DSP Mixer
The built-in DSP Mixer of the US-16x08 is powered by a
high-performance BlackFin DSP processor. This advanced mixer
provides each channel with 4-band EQ and compression, enabling you
to craft polished-sounding monitor mixes with ease. The low-latency
digital mixing capabilities ensure that your monitoring experience
is seamless and professional, whether youre recording or playing
back audio.
Beyond its role as an audio interface, the US-16x08 can function
as a standalone mic preamp. By turning on the unit without a USB
connection, you can use it to enhance the audio quality of other
equipment, such as PA systems or mixers that may lack high-quality
preamps. This added functionality makes the US-16x08 a versatile
tool in any recording or live sound setup.
Seamless integration with iOS devices
One of the standout features of the Tascam US-16x08 is its
compatibility with iPads and other iOS devices. The interface
includes USB Class Compliant 2.0 drivers, making it an excellent
choice for mobile recording. It has been thoroughly tested with a
variety of popular DAWs, ensuring smooth and reliable performance
across different recording platforms. This means you can continue
using your favourite software without compatibility concerns. The
interfaces MIDI input and output further extend its versatility,
allowing easy connection with keyboards, controllers, and other
MIDI devices. This makes the US-16x08 not just an audio interface,
but a central hub for your entire recording setup.
