Authentic Microwave 1 sound in your DAW
The Waldorf Microwave 1 Plugin faithfully recreates the original sound of the Microwave 1 hardware, using the same digital coding for wavetables and modelling the analogue filters down to the finest details. This ensures that every note you play carries the warm, rich, and dynamic characteristics that made the original so iconic in the world of electronic music. From the bit-perfect wavetables to the non-linear DAC modelling, this plugin offers a truly authentic vintage experience, now seamlessly integrated into your digital setup.
Modern interface with intuitive controls
Editing and creating sounds with the Microwave 1 Plugin is easier than ever, thanks to its fully scalable and modern graphical interface. The high-contrast fonts and animated representations of wavetables, envelopes, and filter curves make sound design not only more accessible but also more engaging. Hidden parameters from the original hardware are now right at your fingertips, allowing for quick adjustments and detailed customisation. Whether you're tweaking presets or building new sounds from scratch, the interface provides a user-friendly experience that encourages creativity.
Extensive sound library and customisation
The Microwave 1 Plugin comes loaded with all the original factory presets, including both single and multi-mode sounds. In addition, you'll find new sound sets from contemporary designers, giving you even more sonic options. The plugin also supports the import of original .mid and .syx files, allowing you to bring your favourite patches from the past into your current projects. With the ability to edit and create custom wavetables, user waveforms, and tuning tables, the plugin offers endless possibilities for personalised sound design.
Seamless integration with original hardware
If you're a proud owner of the original Microwave 1 hardware, the plugin can also serve as a powerful control interface. Via MIDI, you can use the plugin to adjust and tweak your hardware in real-time, making it a versatile tool for both live performance and studio work. The plugin’s ability to act as a graphical editor enhances your workflow, providing a more intuitive way to interact with the classic synth. This seamless integration ensures that the timeless sound of the Microwave 1 is preserved and accessible, wherever your music takes you.
