The WA-14 Condenser Microphone is the perfect all-rounder microphone for both instruments and vocal performances. The wide frequency range and premium-grade internal components allow to achieve stellar audio quality for a range of sources. The large-diaphragm design is ideal for picking up the wide frequency range, and the microphone itself features an integrated variable pad and three selectable polar patterns.
The polar patterns include Cardioid, figure of eight and omnidirectional; ideal for a range of sources and applications. The output pad also features a three-position switch which allows you to attenuate your input signals, ideal for switching from electric guitar recordings to studio-grade vocal recordings.
One of the most unique features of the microphone is the custom CineMag USA Transformer. This custom, premium-grade transformer ensures optimal audio performance, combined with the fully discrete classic circuitry toplogy, allowing you to achieve stellar results when it comes to recording.
The WA-14 also boasts an all-brass, edge-terminated custom capsule, designed to capture every nuance of your source audio in immense detail. The result is a rich top end and defined, punchy lows; reminiscent of the original CK-12 capsule. The 24k gold-sputtered diaphragm is skinned using a 6-micron, NOS Japanese PET film; resulting in a consistent and highly reliable capsule.
