The popular Mezzo 280 model is the latest of the Antoine Courtois trombone series that features a large bore and side. The 280 has a .547" bore which is the same as Courtois professional trombone, the AC440. Because of this, the 280 has a large sound with lots of rich colour. Ideal for the young performer looking for a precise round sound. The 280 features a nickel silver outer slide which is very lightweight and comfortable to hold. On the trigger, there is an adjustable thumb rest which is perfect for those with smaller hands.
The yellow brass provides a nice balance between the various playing parameters, which makes it the most widely used and commonly played alloy in the world. Offering an elegant and homogeneous sound to the musician.
The open wrap system makes a single large loop, this helps to reduce both air resistance and the number of connections between the main body and F attachment. When the rotary valve is in the use, this reduces air resistance makes this model the favourite for many musicians who prefer freer playing and vibration.
The trombone comes complete with a mouthpiece, a deluxe contoured case and maintenance kit so you have everything you need to start preparing. The hard case with solid contoured and durable outer casing is perfect for taking your instrument between practice and performance, saving it from knocks during transport.
Courtois uses incredible quality and experience of brass instrument making, with over 200 years of history in manufacturing through their authentic French design and influences. In 2013 Courtois moved to Germany to utilise their top quality, precision engineering. This way every instrument produced is built to the highest quality.
