Split E and Offset G Mechanisms

This flute has two mechanisms that make it an easy instrument to play. The offset G mechanism is more suited for instrumentalists with smaller hand spans. The G key is positioned slightly further away from the flute in a more ergonomic position for smaller hands. The split E affects the top E on the flute, which is generally a weak sounding note. The added mechanism improves the final quality of the sound, making it a more responsive instrument.

High Quality Body

The body of this student flute has been made from a cupro-nickel body, which is not only a lightweight alloy, but is also corrosion resistant, meaning that this instrument will last a very long time. The finishing has been produced from a combination of nickel and silver, which gives a hard wearing attractive finish to the instrument.

Ideal For Beginners

This instrument takes into account the needs of the every day learner. The closed hole (or Plateau) design on the flute allows for a tight close between the double skin pads and the drawn and rolled holes. This improves intonation, which is vital for a beginner flautist. The springs have been developed so that it has a light and easy to use action, which is suited to beginner instruments.

Curved Head Flute

This headjoint enables the younger learner with a smaller arm length to be able to access the flute more easily. The headjoint bends in on itself, enabling the student to be closer to all the keys and therefore able to get to the bottom register of the instrument. At Gear4music, we also include a straight headjoint for the time when the curved one is no longer needed.
