Gold level set-up

This model has been treated to a Gold Level Setup which consists of the highly regarded Larsen cello strings - which are professionally fitted and measured in line with the bridge - resulting in a highly expressive and focused sound which complements the strong tonal personality of the Master Series cello. Supplied with a white or silver Sinfonica cello case (colour option dependant on availability) and an Orchestra carbon fibre weave bow.

Traditional tonewoods

The use of Maple and Spruce tonewoods is a tried and tested combination on quality cellos. These traditional materials provide a powerful, focused and centred sound with plenty of body and tonal warmth, whilst also making a durable and robust instrument. The woods are hand-selected based on their age, seasoned, and then hand-carved. This results in a cello which looks beautiful and is very hard-wearing, helping the player to develop their own unique sound.

Larsen Original strings

These strings are fast becoming the go-to option for professionals, offering a quick and simple cello setup. Capable of producing strong projection and versatile sounds, these strings are capable of granting a long-lasting and reliable performance. The A-string has a solid steel core and is wound with stainless steel flat wire which is precisely rolled. However, the C, G, and D strings are made with an original multi-filament nylon core. The C and G strings both have silver flat wire windings, rolled using the same method as the A string - whereas the D-string comes with aluminium winding which provides flexibility to the overall sound as well as comfort during play.

Premium case and bow

The Eastman Cello comes with the Young Polycarbonate Cello Case that protects your cello from knocks and falls. This sturdy polycarbonate hard-bodied case is designed to withstand the inevitable day-to-day bumps and scrapes that face a musician on the move, whilst retaining the lightweight portability of an instrument case which is easy to carry, whilst the built-in wheel offers easy transport.

Also included in this outfit is a high-quality Orchestra bow. This full-size carbon fibre cello bow offers a lightweight and durable alternative to a traditional wooden bow. It's fitted with a classic ebony frog, and offers perfect control and playability. Orchestra bows are increasingly popular with students and professionals alike for their fantastic response.
