Selected European tonewoods
The Gewa Maestro 2 Violin is the ideal instrument for advancing students. The European solid spruce top creates a beautiful tone, which is then enhanced by the maple ribs and back to create a powerful and colourful sound. It's in the nature of these quality European tonewoods that with age they produce an even warmer, more refined tone. This means the instrument's tone will improve over time, making the Maestro 2 a long-lasting choice.
All in the details...
Similar to more expensive violins, the Maestro 2 includes full ebony fittings. Not only do these look great, but they're also hardwearing compared to cheaper woods. This is especially important for the pegs, as they endure a lot of tension from the strings, so it's important they retain their strong structure. For the fingerboard, this hard surface allows you to move quickly between the notes and it won't show signs of wear.
The Aubert "Mirecourt" luthier's bridge is a high quality bridge that has been treated for maximum hardness and solid shape so the sound can resonate effectively. This French company craft delicate bridges to bring out the best in your sound. For the perfect finish, the Maestro 2 violin has been varnished, creating an antique look.

While developing Il Cannone strings, Larsen worked closely with musicians to ensure they made a set of strings which are exceptional in every way. And they succeeded.
