Tip Openings

One major difference, compared to the saxophone mouthpieces, is that the varying tip openings have been crafted with different players in mind. The lower tip openings (1-5) are designed to blend more with concert bands, marching bands, symphonic, chamber and pit orchestras. The higher tip openings (6-10) are more suited to jazz, klezmer, latin, and eastern European styles due to the higher baffle for enhanced projection and brightness. Regardless of the tip opening, the mouthpieces are free-blowing and have a strong core sound.
