Warm and characterful. The alto flute has a special, mellow tonal quality. Lower pitched than a concert C instrument, the Jupiter JAF1000XE Alto Flute combines beautiful tone with refined craftsmanship - the ideal instrument to expand your repertoire.

Curved and Straight Headjoints

Essential for flexibility and comfort. Being thicker and longer than a concert C flute, the alto flute naturally weighs more. The Jupiter JAF1000XE includes both a traditional straight headjoint and a curved one, for standard playing technique and easier, comfortable playing. By reducing the length of the flute, the curved headjoint moves the centre of gravity closer to you. It's easier to hold and allows for more relaxed playing – even over extended playing sessions. Ergonomics are further considered with the split E and offset G keys, which enhance your grip and comfort.

Drawing upon decades of woodwind expertise, Jupiter has created an instrument for performance. For a beautiful finish, the JAF1000XE has a silver-plated body and headjoint, contributing to the pristine sound and clarity you can produce throughout its entire playing range. Each flute's precision-cut headjoint is completed with an individually hand-finished embouchure.

Long-lasting durability is ensured by the flute's high nickel content. Additionally, the forged nickel silver dapped keys are built with strong, stainless steel springs – reducing maintenance and providing a responsive playing action.
