The SX90 series is based upon an innovative new bell and bore design, offering less resistance as well as a more centred tone and even pitch throughout the saxophone's range. To ensure the key work is precise, Keilwerth produces it all by hand. The SX90 series has brought together Keilwerth manufacturing and the influence of David Liebman.
The pads on your saxophone are important as they prevent air from escaping when you press the keys down. The SX90R comes with high-quality black pisoni leather pads, ensuring you will have the best feeling action on your keys with the least air escaping. Each pad also features a metal reflector or "resonator". These small discs woven into the pads help enhance the tone of your instrument and are an important part of the sound. Metal reflectors tend to produce a slightly brighter tone with a crisp attack.
