Award winning 200 series
For two years on the run, the Primavera 200 violin won the "Best Bowed Instrument" at the Music Industries Association (MIA) awards, and has since been recommended by teachers and schools alike. So you know it's going to be good! Similar to more expensive violins, the Primavera 200 violin features a hand-carved maple and spruce body. These quality tonewoods are essential for producing a rich and rounded tone. To get that beautiful finish, the 200 antiqued violin has had the varnish reworked to create a hand-finished look. This sort of appearance is often only found on more expensive instruments and feels amazing in the hand.
Boasting an ebony chinrest with an ebony fingerboard and pegs, the fittings on the 200 antiqued violin are not only traditionally stylish but also very practical. A lightweight composite tailpiece with improved fine tuners makes the instrument lightweight and easy to learn the essential for learning the basics of tuning. Multi-filament steel strings have been used on the 200 series to give a feel similar to that of natural (high-quality) gut strings. These quality strings not only create a pleasing tone, but are also hardwearing - perfect for an eager student!
Everything you need
To ensure that you have the best possible experience, Primavera have included everything you need to get started. To keep the violin safe, the Primavera 200 antiqued comes with an oblong case that offers strong protection. On the outside of the case, you will find a robust handle and backpack straps for easy transportation. On the front of the case, there is a full length zipped pocket which is perfect for all of your sheet music and a smaller pocket for accessories. You will also find reflective material placed across the case to ensure that you can always be seen at night.
On the inside of the case, you will find that the violin has a perfectly snug fit. For an extra touch of protection, the inside is lined with a soft-touch material that won't scratch the finish of your violin. There is also a dedicated compartment for small accessories, such as the included rosin, and two bow holders. The lightweight composite bow includes an ebony frog with natural horsehair, making it durable, lightweight and very easy to use.
