The design is incredibly compact. The YVS 120 can achieve a sound similar to that of a saxophone but it's much smaller and lighter. For example, it features a "branched pipe" to create the same rich, expressive tone of a saxophone. It also has a meandering pipe, which allows the holes to sit closer together to simplify the structure and make it easier to play. The mouthpiece is the same as alto saxophones, so it'll feel familiar for players with previous wind experience.
The lightweight construction makes the YVS 120 ideal for musicians on the road. You don't need to worry about maintenance thanks to its durable ABS resin body, which can be wiped clean using water. Included with the Yamaha Venova YVS 120 is a guidebook called 'Let's Play Venova!' giving you tips on posture, pitch and tone, as well as sample songs. You've got everything you need to get started.
