An aged Grenadilla wood body offers a vintage tone and feeling, whilst hand-tapered undercut toneholes allow for unmatched intonation and precision. These inset Grenadilla toneholes are then individually hand-adjusted, ensuring the instrument has perfect relative pitch. The silver-plated keyworks are optimally set-up to maximise on their tonal quality, touch, and functionality. This is a clarinet with a professional, versatile sound, and liquid playability.

The YCL-CXII comes with a custom Yamaha ebonite 4CM mouthpiece, as well as a silver-plated ligature and mouthpiece cap. A high-quality Yamaha single clarinet case with cover is also included.
