DISC Meinl Generation X 10" Filter China Overview
The Meinl Generation X 10 inch Filter China is made from a unique FX9 alloy (69% copper, 15% manganese, 15% zinc, 1% aluminium), creating a flexible yet strong cymbal. Using pressure point technology, the innovative design incorporates holes - hence the word Filter - and a waved edge. These features create a trashy, dark and fast tone that's great for accents.
A mid-bright timbre and wide blade lathing creates a complex, 'sinister' sound that lends itself to drummers looking to explore new sonic territory. Quieter than normal chinas, close miking is recommended. Aimed at revolutionising cymbal sounds, it works great in stacks for an experimental addition.
