The Decade Maple features 100 maple shells. The final product of ten years of process and material refinement, these shells produce a powerful, warm tone, bringing full-bodied character to your grooves. With hand-treated interiors, lugs, and mounts, the Decade series shells are built to the tone and durability standard that gigging and touring drummers demand.
In addition to this, you'll also receive a hardware pack and a set of WHD bags. This high-quality set of drum bags features thick 25mm padding to protect your instruments from bumps and scratches. Each bag includes a soft fluffy interior and durable exterior - complete with robust carry handles and useful accessory pockets for spare drum heads. Suitable for standard fusion shell sizes.

High-quality finish
The slim 6-ply shells are manufactured with Pearl's 'Superior Shell Technology' with overlapping scarf-joint seams and proprietary AcoustGlue. This clever glue fills every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood for optimum resonance. The plies are then formed in a high-temperature mould with a hydraulic press to produce perfect drum shells.
Superior shell technology
Maple has long been a favorite drum shell wood of both drum manufacturers and players. Its boosted low end and smooth mids and highs help it to sound well suited for just about any style of music. Because of this, you often find maple being used in very high-end kits and being used by some very well-respected players. Pearl's Decade series 6-ply shells are built from ultra-thin maple plies with hand-treated bearing edges to ensure you're getting the same performance and tones as those high-end kits. Each section of ply is cross laminated and features Pearl's superior shell technology, resulting in a thin shell that reacts quickly to the stroke and gives you the ultimate air chamber
Opti-Loc suspension system
The Decade series rack toms are equipped with Pearl's Opti-Loc suspension System that features a triangular design with two tension rod attachment points and another through one of the drum's two air vents. Rubber isolators at all connection points enable the drums to vibrate freely for ultimate sustain and resonance while providing absolute and wobble-free performance.
