Epiphone were granted access to Noel's original Riviera so that they could take exact measurements and specifications. The result is a guitar that's as close to Noel's as possible, in dimensions, looks and sound. Appointments like the brown sound holes, "E" stamps, and volute neck shape all match historical instruments to a close degree, so you can be sure of a retro rhythm.

Classic sounds

It's not enough to look retro, it's got to sound it too! And to that end, Epiphone have brought the past to life. Featuring a set of Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers, you'll enjoy similar sonics to the '80s originals. Offering a warm, medium output they're great for voicing those rock 'n' roll sounds and classic crunches. From articulate, smooth clean tones all the way through to a rumbling distorted growl, you're afforded plenty of creative freedom.

In addition, these are wired to Epiphone's CTS Pots and .02 uF capacitors, which means you'll enjoy a dynamic, close control over your sound where each setting on the knob makes a noticeable difference.

Nickel plated hardware

It's gorgeous. A set of nickel-plated hardware together with Black Witch Hat control knobs complete the look of the Riviera special. But not only that, this carefully selected series of appointments afford you a highly enjoyable playing experience - one that's free from buzz, and with oodles of sustain. A Graph Tech nut teams with the TOM and stoptail bridge to let your notes ring out cleanly and clearly, with every detail scooped up by the pickups.

Additionally, it's not just clarity provided here, but excellent tuning stability too, as a set of Epiphone premium die cast tuners with oval metal buttons ensure you're in perfect pitch for a whole set of songs.
