This eye-catching classical guitar provides the look and feel of a steel string guitar, with its thinbody design and low action neck making it extremely comfortable to play. The thinbody construction eliminates undesirable feedback when amplified at high volumes, delivering a superb tone no matter how loud it is.

Solid European Spruce Top & Flamed Maple Body

The Cordoba 55FCE features a flamed maple body coupled with a solid European spruce top, adding a visually stunning and unique appearance to a classic design. The European spruce is the perfect choice for classical guitars, as it offers beautifully complex harmonics with an incredibly full low end of the dynamic range. While flamed maple is usually known for its beautiful figuring, as a tonewood it produces bright clear tones with the perfect amount of cut and fundamentals to suit a range of playing styles.

Spanish Cedar Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

For the neck, the 55FCE uses Spanish cedar to deliver a beautifully smooth feel, while the ebony fingerboard offers a soft feel for the ultimate playing experience. Sonically, the cedar produces rich tones with a light, fluffy texture, while the ebony provides lots of sustain and projection. Together, the two tonewoods provide exceptional balance across the entire frequency range, delivering a powerful bass response with a rich treble.

Fishman Prefix Problend Electronics

Unlike other classical guitars, the Cordoba Espana 55FCE is equipped with Fishman Prefix Problend electronics, featuring a 3-band EQ, volume controls, and a built-in microphone to provide excellent amplification capabilities. A range of control options, including a blend control, feedback-fighting notch filter and phase switch, allow you to shape the tone of guitar to ensure you produce the highest quality of amplification for your playing style. On top of all this, the Fishman preamp features a revolutionary pivot design for instant 9-volt battery access and ease of use.

Bone Nut

Using a bone nut and saddle, compared to modern materials, provides excellent resonance and sustain, ensuring the strings vibrate freely whilst transferring its sonic properties to the fingerboard and body. The bone material naturally self-lubricates, helping the guitar to stay in tune for longer whilst providing a beautifully balanced tone.

Beautifully Designed
