The Electar lap steel guitar takes inspiration from the “1939” century lap steel outfit, creating a one-of-a-kind reissue of the art deco styled Hawaiian lap steel guitar that was designed by Epiphone’s own Herb Sunshine. The guitar’s body profile is the same as the vintage original, crafting it from a single piece of mahogany to create both neck and body. The bridge features a period-style nickel-plated steel covering, while the fingerboard uses classic plexiglass to add to the vintage style of the guitar.
The Electar guitar is fitted with Epiphone’s 500B “blade” humbucker that is specially designed to produce an even sound across all the strings, perfect for producing Hawaiian inspired music. Its frets have been carefully set to provide excellent intonation at any position, ensuring the guitar produces the best sound at all times. The Electar also features traditional style inlays and an ebony finish to create an amazing look, and a non-slip rubber pad added to the back to keep the guitar in place while you play.
In order to make travelling easier for you, your guitar comes with an included gig bag. Ensure that your guitar stays safe while on the road. The padded case will prevent any scratches, bumps, or any other damage so your guitar always looks brand new when on stage. Your new gig bag comes with two ways in which to carry it, handles on the side or a shoulder strap that also allows you to carry other live sound equipment at thew same time.
Not only does it keep your instrument safe, but it also provides a perfect place to store extra accessories. Thanks to the exterior pocket, you can ensure you never forget picks, capos, cables, etc. Never forget your essentials again.
