A ‘’C’’ shape neck is commonly the most comfortable neck shape giving it wide appeal differing from the original ‘baseball bat’ style. A 7.25’’ radius neck and 1.650’’ nut width gives it a classic feel, easy for chord work and not fatiguing on the hand. The vintage style single coils in the Telecaster give its instantly recognisable twang. Overdriven, gives a beautiful grind and growl that distinguishes every note in a chord.
A period correct one-piece maple neck is acoustically more resonant, many people believing it gives a richer more rounded tone.
A nitro lacquer over an ash body – it looks and feels every bit classic. Coming out of Mexico, this is the first guitar from there using a nitrocellulose finish, a vintage touch normally only reserved for the American Vintage and Custom Shop models. It was something that has been requested for so many years and Fender have actually done something about it.
Featuring a string through body with an authentic three-saddle American vintage Telecaster bridge. Giving the Telecaster a full-bodied tone that sustains. Vintage style tuners complete the guitar keeping tuning accurate - not only making this Telecaster sound the part but look it too.
Without having to drop the equivalent of a car to own an original Fender. The Classic series gets you far closer than you might expect. Delivering great quality and tone the new Classic series is the best to come out of the factory - period.
The Telecaster represents a milestone in music history, bringing the guitar to the forefront of bands, solving the problems of microphonic feedback and volume. It is a well-built practical instrument that constantly withstands the demands of musicians. It also made history when Keith Richards used it and recorded (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction. Being the first person to record a guitar through a fuzzbox.
The classic series looks at what made guitars of certain decades great and adds a few modern turns to a classic formula. This reissue is being produced in Mexico and is certainly the best series of instruments to come out of the Mexican factory.
