Room for sonic exploration. This isn't just any Stratocaster single coil setup. No, the Custom Shop have worked their magic and brought a trio of hand-wound single coils that offer you a range of tonality, and a range of expression. Shimmering highs, and rich, twangy lows are all present and correct - just as you might expect from a Strat. But this Postmodern adds a unique element to your sound through the addition of a treble bleed circuit and 1/2 blender wiring.
Retain all the articulation and high-end detail at lower volumes thanks to the treble bleed circuit. This ingenious wiring allows you to cut your volume and clean up your signal without losing any of the nuance in your playing. Additionally, the blender wiring introduces the bridge pickup into positions 1 and 2, generating a thicker, weightier tone that exudes tonnes of presence. Armed with these pickups, you'll find new sounds and new styles of playing.
Okay, it's a Postmodern riff machine. Meaning you've got the looks of a veteran, but the feel and playability that can match any of the latest guitars out there. And that feel is solid, reliable, and unbelievably smooth, as you're treated to a rift-sawn maple neck with a nitro lacquer and a contoured neck heel. Shaped into a '59 "profile", it has loads of vintage character, yet still makes expansive playing at the upper frets easy thanks to that slim neck heel.
And speaking of upper fret exploration, the compound radius of the board means that you have a flatter surface towards the top end, letting you go wild with adventurous licks and string bends. And for progressive, difficult-to-finger chords, the fretboard curves sharper at the nut to give your hand plenty of room. Of course, this is all takes place on a sleek, round-lam rosewood board, which is a delight to manoeuvre around.
Let loose with your playing. Equipped with a vintage style Custom Shop Synchronised tremolo bridge and a set of vintage tuners, you’re going to play to your best. That’s because these classic components will keep a strong hold on your strings, ensuring a stable performance that stays in tune! And that tremolo bridge will pave the way to all sorts of vibrato antics, while a bone nut allows for a sustain that lasts for days.
To cap it all off you get a dedicated hardcase to keep your one-of-a-kind Custom Shop creation protected. It’ll give you piece of mind while taking this collectible to gigs or recording sessions, ensuring it stays in pristine (yet relic’d!) condition.
