The Fender Pro Junior IV packs in 2x12AX7s and 2x EL84 power amp valves into its small chassis. This creates an authentic valve warmth and organic response, along with a highly musical breakup when cranked. The volume control acts as both level and overdrive adjustment - just like vintage non-master volume tube amps - so the higher you turn the volume up, the more tube saturation you'll have. This simple operation and compact size is the reason for the Pro Junior's enduring popularity, giving you vintage amp response but without the ear-splitting volume that older amps required for tube saturation.
The Pro Junior IV has a modified volume circuit for a more gradual increase in overdrive breakup, giving you more accurate control over your drive level. It also has a better low-end response than its predecessors and can create crystal clean sounds through to smooth saturation. The valves give the Pro Junior a musical response to player dynamics and guitar volume control adjustments.
