Key Features
Deliver gorgeous resonance and shimmering harmonies. The Godin Etude Classical Guitar combines beauty with wonderful dynamics whilst showcasing magnificent attention to detail. Crafted from wild cherry and topped with pressure tested cedar, the body enhances every harmonic vibration, resulting in a warm and resonant tone. The mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard then add to these rich harmonic qualities with incredible depth and dynamics.
As well as such exquisite tonal attributes, the Godin Etude Classical Guitar embodies a strikingly stable construction that lends itself to years of gigging. The mahogany neck is strong and durable whilst the innovative double-function truss rod means you can experience a slimmer neck profile than traditional classical guitar necks without sacrificing robust construction. The slimmer neck profile is a shining feature in itself; it offers more playability than your average classical guitar, perfect for aspiring musicians who want divine sounds and a professional performance.

The Godin Etude features a stunning select pressure tested solid cedar top. The manufacturing process of pressure testing each solid top ensures they have the highest levels of stiffness and rigidity, along with maximum harmonic vibration. This process is becoming more and more popular with guitar manufacturing as it benefits the overall tone, projection, and resonance of a guitar. It is this combination of quality, rigidity, and flexibility that gives the top its incredible resonance and stunning appearance.
The Etude Classical Guitar is also environmentally friendly, as the wood used for the top is found only in Cedar trees that have previously fallen. Cedar is well known for its distinctive straight grain and red-brown tones, as well as being a particular common choice for finger-style players.
Enhancing an already beautiful combination of woods, the Godin Etude features a stunning custom polished finish inspired by the appearance of French polish of the 19th Century. Rather than applying a thick coat of polish like standard classical guitars, the Godin Etude's custom finish is thinner to allow the wood to breathe and vibrate freely, while also offering plenty of protection from the elements. This type of finish also delivers a better sound the older it gets, making it a worthwhile investment.
The Etude Guitar is also equipped with an innovative double-function truss rod system within its mahogany neck. Truss rods are never normally featured on classical guitars, having always been made with thick neck dimensions, yet its function on the Godin Etude Acoustic allows for a slimmer neck profile. This clever truss rod system offers extraordinary comfort, while increasing stability.
A beautiful guitar wouldn't be complete without the final touches. The Godin Etude is nicely finished off with an intricate rosette, cream binding, and rosewood bridge, as well as a cream Tusq nut and a fully compensated saddle by Graphtech.
