Designed with cascading JFET stages, the Katana Clean Boost produces tube-amp-like roar in a smaller and more portable device. Providing a way to increase the volume of your tone without losing any clarity, the Katana’s boost is fat and harmonically rich, with two distinct modes available. The pedal can produce up to 20db of clean boost, or a wrathful 30db of saturated sounds when switched to the high gain mode.
Pure clean tone or high gain fury
Tonal options at your command. For a mirror image recreation of your sound, the clean boost will raise your volume with precision and articulation. But if you want something with a bit more grit, pull out the speed knob to engage the high gain boost. This will spike your volume up to 30db! In addition to giving your tone some cut and overdriven growl, it will help you stand above any ensemble.
These options present you with plenty of flexibility. Perhaps you want to keep the clean boost on permanently, and roll in the high gain fury for those sizzing leads? Doing so will lead to sonics that are oozing with definition and presence. Its up to you! But in any case, the Katana's raucous boost and pristine articulation will raise a smile.
