Rusty Cooley has trailblazed the way for shredders and virtuosos across the world. Known for his incredibly fast, technical playing and all-round mastery of his instrument, he has followed in the footsteps of giants like Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. Naturally, his signature guitar had to be worthy of his awesome talents in tribute and in practice, so it has been co-designed with Perry Ormsby, one of the most celebrated guitar crafters in the world.

Sledgehammer tone

Active, high output fury. This guitar was built to encompass a wide tonal range, but it works incredibly well with saturated, high gain settings. It comes with two monstrous, active EMG pickups for an all powerful tone which roars with aggression. An EMG 81 in the bridge provides that tight, incredibly clear tone which only an active pickup can create. It will beef up your rhythm licks and make them sound incredibly powerful, emitting minimal noise when not in use.

The EMG 85 in the neck position is perfect for lead playing, giving higher notes a scintillating, expressive quality and mountains of emotion. In combination, these pickups cover a huge range of tones, and can give you the tools you need to bring every bit of variety you need to your music.

Ormsby are more than well known for their sleek, shred-friendly necks, but this raises the bar. An ebony fretboard with partial scalloping enables superbly smooth transitions between each fret. Your hand will skim down the neck like a meteorite, allowing you to play as fast and aggressively as you desire.
