Key Features
Praised for its sweetness in tone and absolute clarity in the cleans. The Peavey Classic 30 1x12 Valve Combo, Tweed is raw power. We don’t mean over the top gain, we mean pure, unadulterated tone that will envelop any room you find yourself in. This is one for the vintage tone hounds. There is nothing unneeded included, this is what you reach for when compromise won’t do.
It may look like a tweed amp and sound like a tweed amp but it doesn’t have the limited scope of a tweed amp. Not only excelling at making your guitar sound incredible, this is a great pedal platform allowing you to truly transform your sound. And with the right drive pedal, this would make a great metal amp too.

Used by bands like Biffy Clyro, Temples, and The Almost. The Peavey Classic clearly displays its adaptability as an amplifier and excels. This is because it can be tuned to suit (almost) any guitar, no matter if it uses, single coils, P-90’s, or humbuckers. This is because of its generous tone-shaping options. From its two inputs, three-band EQ and active presence dial you can fatten up single coils and even get some ‘twang’ out of humbuckers!
The clean channel is loud, punchy, and authoritative which makes it perfect for country, giving a pronounced tone that is as bold as it is beautiful. With plenty of depth and sweet mid-range which complements the nuances of your playing style. These qualities also make it a great pedal platform! Combined with the effects loop, it will satisfy even the most dedicated shoegaze addicts.
The lead channel transforms this amp yet again. Giving you tones that would keep AC/DC happy and with a drive pedal, it could even adapt to metal. But at its core, this is a vintage voice that when subtly dialled gives you highly dynamic touch-sensitive drive that’s highly expressive. This is a core component of reproducing the best ‘tweedy’ blues tones available.
Using anything other than pure Celestion quality in a Peavey Classic would be a travesty. The 12’’ Celestion Midnight 60 is perfectly voiced to bring out the best in the Classic’s tonal range. From its lush lows, distinctive mid-range and a treble with a lot of bite - your tone will be extraordinary, never losing its place in the mix.
