The Schecter Kenny Hickey Solo-6 in is a guitar defined by time and attention to detail. Expertly crafted from an innovative design, the bulk of this guitar is made out of mahogany, ensuring delightfully rich and full tones as well as a luxurious physical feel. Engrained into the rosewood fingerboard are 24 rolled edge jumbo frets that provide smooth manoeuvring across the board and pinpoint intonation, allowing you to be in the right place at the right time – every time. The Kenny Hickey Solo offers a tremendous amount of tonal control when it comes to pickup selection. On the bridge, you have the crunchy and powerful Seymour Duncan Humbucker – a staple pickup for the metal genre, although capable of many styles for its clear, crisp highs, powerful lows a chunky chordal texture. The hot output can even improve the harmonics of your amp for a truly well-rounded voice.
Towards the neck, there is the Sustainiac pickup, and as you can probably guess by the name, it gives you a whole lot of one thing. Sustain. By creating electromagnetic energy around the strings when enabled, it causes them to vibrate and creates glorious feedback sustain that can last as long as you can hold it. Pretty cool, right?
Experience absolute control over your sound with an array of control knobs, beginning with the standard volume and tone as well as a 3-way pickup select toggle. You can also choose at what time to activate your Sustainiac mode on the neck pick up with the 3-way mode switch toggle, located next to the kill switch.
