This Squier Contemporary Jazz Bass is loaded with a pair of SQR Ceramic Humbuckers, providing excellent versatility. These ceramic humbuckers offer a powerful sound, with a deep low-end and excellent clarity. For tonal shaping, the Squier Jazz Bass features a Master Volume control for adjusting the overall projection, a Master Tone for altering the colouration of the sound, Blend for controlling the mix of the pickups and stacked Boost knobs for both bass and treble.
Crafted with an ash body, the Squier Contemporary Jazz Bass is incredibly lightweight, and offers a comfortable playing experience. Ash as a body tonewood, delivers an overall bright tone, with good sustain and excellent balance. The ash yields a strong upper mid-range, and a beefy low-end, providing a superb tone that accommodates a range of styles.
For enhanced brightness, this Active Jazz Bass Guitar features both a maple neck and fingerboard too. The maple gives the bass' tone added tightness, and cut, to brighten up the overall sound. A maple neck and fingerboard add sizzle to the highs, firmness to the lows and provide snappy attack within the mid-range.
