The Ernie Ball Music Man St. Vincent is the signature guitar for St. Vincent and crafted with a truly unique design to match the stand-out music of Annie Clarke. The Sterling by Music Man St. Vincent gives players more affordable access to the same distinct looks and versatile tones of the 2017 Music Man signature guitar.
The Sterling St. Vincent is crafted with a mahogany body to give a warm and resonant core tonality. The body features unique contours and a balanced weight distribution, making it comfortable to play during long sessions and gigs, whether stood up or sat down. A maple neck enhances the guitar's bright overtones, while the rosewood fingerboard creates a strong low-end articulation and a smooth playing surface for the left hand.
The St. Vincent is loaded with three Music Man specified mini humbuckers which give a huge range of tones to cover all the sounds that St. Vincent is known for. The 5-way custom designed pickup selector allows you to select various individual-pickup and combined-coil tones for a versatile set of sounds, from biting overdrives to nuanced cleans.
A 2-point tremolo provides a smooth whammy bar action, while the vintage-style bent-steel saddles give you full adjustability over action and intonation. An oversized Music Man headstock provides the perfect string breaking-angle and alignment for outstanding tuning stability, matched by the die-cast tuners and stable maple neck with strong 5-bolt neck attachment. This set of hardware ensures you'll have a stable and resonant guitar that you can rely on for professional performances and studio sessions.
The American musician, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Anne Erin "Annie" Clark emerged as St. Vincent in 2006, after studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. After her critically acclaimed album Marry Me, Clark went on to win the PLUG Female Artist of the Year Award in 2008. Since then, St. Vincent has honed a sound with influence from a diverse range of sources, taking inspiration from Kate Bush, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and more. She has released multiple albums, won multiple awards, toured with a live band, and made appearances in TV (Saturday Night Live and more), and in film. The 2017 signature Music Man St. Vincent guitar featured signature body contours and a unique design to help convey her unique sense of style and music.
