Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and onboard controls

Feautring built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, the ROAM allows you to play your favourite music and/or playlists from a range of popular streaming apps. You can stream directly from Spotify, TIDAL, Amazon Music, Audible and Pandora. The speaker also features onboard Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity so you can also stream music from a Bluetooth-enabled device such as a smartphone or tablet device. Not only that, but if you have an iOS device you can send sound directly from your device via AirPlay 2. You can of course also use the onboard touch controls to make it easy to navigate between the various settings, featuring controls for play, pause, volume up/down, skip and more.

Voice control with support for voice assistants

Constantly having to get up and go to your speaker to skip songs or change settings can be tedious at times, but with the Sonos ROAM you can enjoy hands-free control with support for both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Sonos ROAM features support for both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing you to play songs, change the volume, check the news and even set appointments; with just your voice.

The ROAM Smart Speaker utilises a far-field microphone array that uses complex beamforming and multi-channel echo cancellation to ensure your voice is always picked up – no matter where you are in the room.

Sonos app and Trueplay optimise your listening experience

The ROAM is simple and easy to use and made that much easier using the Sonos app available for your smartphone/tablet device. Using the Sonos app you can connect to all your streaming services to play your favourite music instantaneously. The app will also take you through step-by-step instructions to get yourself set up and streaming your favourite music and audiobooks in no time.

You can optimise the speaker’s audio performance by fine-tuning the sound to the unique acoustics of your room. Trueplay (iOS device required) will measure the acoustic properties of the room you’re in and automatically tune the speaker to deliver the best possible sound quality, no matter where you place it.
