The SDJ 4000 can be used as a standalone unit, eliminating the need to bring a computer to your performance. This is great for party events where only a popular playlist is required. The SDJ 4000 includes a four-channel mixer, with each channel featuring individual three-band EQ and gain. This is all easily accessible on the front panel of the controller.
All the features of the SDJ 4000 are indicated via a backlit colour display. This not only gives visual feedback of your performance but also makes playing in dark environments easy. Dual USB ports can be used to access your array of music. It is also possible to record your performance directly onto USB via one of these ports.
Each side of the deck features eight multicolour performance pads. These can be assigned to various rolls, providing instant access to key features on the SDJ 4000. Located around the pads are all the controls you’ll need to loop, slice and cue audio at the touch of a button.
The top of the controller is raised in order to provide ultimate comfort when performing. Here the jog wheel allows the user to scroll through the LCD screen menus. The master, booth and phones output is also controlled via the SDJ 4000’s top panel. Other intuitive features located at the top of the SDJ 4000 include the master effects section which offers selectable routing.
The SDJ 4000 can be linked with two additional media players, providing you ultimate access to a huge range of audio. Whilst this can be used to share USB libraries, the connection can also be used to sync external players with the SDJ 4000. The SDJ 4000 is also compatible with V-Case. This means you can create pre-curated playlists and play them easily through the SDJ 4000.
