The Yamaha CHR15 is a two-way passive loudspeaker, equipped with the same high-quality woofer as their new DHR series, but in a passive, non-powered enclosure to give you the control over the setup. How it's powered, driver crossovers, tuning, and DSP options are all in your hands. With the same high-grade vibration-minimising plywood enclosure found in Yamaha's renowned CZR Series, the CHR15 provides clarity, flexibility, and power into one speaker.
The CHR15 has had every detail thought through, with carefully selected and customised transducers, and a polyurea coating to cover the enclosure with a tough, scratch-resistant surface. The CHR15 also includes an angled speaker pole socket, for focused sound dispersion towards the audience, whilst avoiding issues with frequency buildup due to low ceilings.

Low ceilings and reflective surfaces are an issue in any live music venue, but with an angled speaker pole socket, the Yamaha CHR15 can account for this. Angling the speaker down and towards the audience will prevent reflections from metallic or glass surfaces towards the back of your venue, and keep the sound where it's meant to go.

DSP Compatibility
Yamaha's cutting-edge DSP technology can also be harnessed by the CHR Series. Using one of Yamaha's power amplifiers means that you can apply their DSP and speaker tuning to the CHR speakers with ease. But you don't have to use Yamaha's power amplifiers, as long as the speaker and system are compatible, the CHR Series will accept any dedicated speaker processor tuning settings.
