Key Features
The Analogue Systems Demon Controller is a 49 note keyboard controller that has the ability to transform any modular synth into a performance instrument. The Demon Controller features a built-in MIDI/CV converter, joystick and portamento. The keyboard controller features a fitted RS-220 joystick module and RS-330 module. The integrated keyboard controller module can generate pitch CVs, triggers, gates and controller CVs from incoming MIDI data received at the Demon's MIDI IN socket.

The Demon Controller allows you to connect devices through its MIDI connections on the rear panel. The MIDI connectors on the rear panel allow you to connect to external devices such as a sequencer and more. You can control your external synthesizers with the Demon Controller. The Demon Controller also offers full polyphony over MIDI. The 5 CV OUT sockets on the integrated RS-330 module allows you to direct the pitch CV simultaneously to oscillators, filters, envelope generators, VCAs, and more. You can also control up to 5 external 1V/Oct synthesizers using these outputs.
At the heart of the Analogue Systems Demon Controller is the RS-330 module. The module offers a transpose switch with 3 positions, allowing you to transpose the notes up or down by 1 octave. The keyboard also features portamento, which introduces glide between the notes that are being played. The rate of glide can be adjusted using the PORTAMENTO TIME control. There is also a single shot mode that allows you to activate the glide on and off while playing. The RS-330 module generates pitch CVs, triggers, gates, and controller CVs from incoming MIDI data received at the Demon Controller's MIDI IN. The RS-330 also features different trigger options. The KBD TRIGGER switch allows you to change between SINGLE and MULTIPLE. In SINGLE mode, a new trigger is produced only when all previous notes have been released. In MULTIPLE mode, a trigger is produced every time a lower note is pressed, whether or not previously held higher notes have been released. So when a higher note is still depressed, a trigger is produced every time you hit a lower note.
The Analogue Systems RS-220 Joystick is a high-quality controller featuring a joystick with a self-centering mechanism, providing a smooth response across its full range. The RS-220 features range attenuators for finer control, reducing the output CVs approximately 0V at their minimum settings, while passing the full +/-5V ranges when set to their maximum. Each axis offers dual outputs, and each pair of outputs carry identical signals with maximum operational values determined by the range controls. Make sounds change in 2 independent ways with the RS-220 Joystick module. The RS-220 offers a joystick controller for easy movement and an accurate response. At the far left or lowest point, the joystick generates a voltage of -5V at the X and Y outputs. When to the right or highest point, the joystick generates a voltage of +5V. The range attenuators can be used for finer control. The joystick is self-centering, but the springs can be removed if desired.
