Key Features
The Analogue Systems RS-390 Echo Module is a stereo delay/echo module replicating the true emulation of traditional tape echo. The RS-390 offers a wide range of attenuators to control and craft your delay line featuring CV control for 3 delay ranges, dry/wet mix and repeat damping and depth. The 3 different ranges of digital delay lines available range from short to long with a minimum of 1.75ms to a maximum of approximately 3 seconds. Apart from being an echo module the RS-390 is a versatile effects unit that can produce a wide range of effects such as reverb, flanger and chorus.

The Analogue Systems RS-390 Echo Module features a wide range of controls to craft your delay. The RS-390's range switch is used for shifting between the different delay ranges providing you with different delay times that can be used to create other effects as well as the normal delay. For example, chorus, flanger and reverb effects are possible with this unit making it a versatile module for your modular system. This is all made possible due to the 3 different ranges the RS-390 provides. The shortest range (range 1) is perfect for reverb, flanger effects as well as the slap-back echo type effect that was widely used in early rock 'n' roll. The medium range (range 2) can be used for creating chorus effects and rhythmic delays. Finally, the longest range (range 3) can be used to create long spacey delays perfect for an ambient track.
The RS-390 uses 24-bit DSP technology with a sample rate of 46.9kHZ, audio response of 22kHZ and an impressive maximum delay time of approximately 3 seconds. The echo module boasts being able to emulate the true sound of traditional tape echo and includes the pitch shifts that are created when changing tape speed of older delays. Analogue Systems have incorporated this feature into the delay time attenuator to give you that authentic old fashioned delay feel. Nevertheless, the RS-390 is an ideal module that is capable of a wide range of analogue emulations and quality delay-based effects.
