The Mouse is an exquisite sounding cardioid, condenser microphone that performs at its best on vocals, bass and drums. Featuring a unique rotating capsule design, the Mouse allows you to position your microphone in any way around the 360 rotating capsule to fit the mix of your music. Explore off-axis sounds for a huge array of tonal possibilities on your recordings that is not possible with conventional microphone design.
Built around a custom-tuned and hand-made diaphragm, the Mouse is extremely transparent and captures audio the way it is intended. Premium grade Class-A circuitry is used to ensure a clean and detailed signal path that lets you hear your sound without colouration in tremendous detail and accuracy.

The Mouse has been designed to provide elite level sound quality for the professional musician. Providing shimmering, detailed highs, smooth and rich mid-range, commanding and powerful low end with a minimized proximity effect allows the Mouse to excel in delivering a balanced, full-range sound to your instruments. The Mouse will bring your vocals to the front of the mix where they belong, let your electric guitars breathe with enough clarity and definition, provide a deep fundamental to your bass or drums without pumping low end all without the need for any extra EQ or processing.
The Mouse excels when being used on the booming low end of a bass guitar cabinet, kick drum, heavy toms and anything else that provides earth-shattering rumbles. A strong character is captured that brings a consistent warmth to your instruments, without sounding muffled or uninspiring. The Mouse even goes as far as adding extra chest and body to a vocal performance to give your sound the extra weight it needs. Although excelling in the deep end, the Mouse's smooth mid-range response and crystalline high end prove it to be very functional on more delicate and balanced instruments making it a must-have for your microphone locker.
Strafe new territory with the unique rotating head mount. This innovative design lets you place your microphone capsule anywhere on its 360-degree rotating mount, allowing you to pinpoint the sweet spot of your instruments by sweeping the capsule through its rotation on your sound source to get the best tone possible for your mix and music. By rotating the microphone capsule, you can quickly create an off-axis microphone position, which can be particularly useful when mic'ing electric guitar cabinets to smoothen out any excessive piercing high end.
Fundamentally, the Mouse has been designed to perform with absolute precision and excellence but don't let this take away from the clever design choices. The unique rotating capsule makes the Blue Mouse one of the most versatile microphones in your locker, allowing for quick changes in microphone angle positioning that traditional microphones can't offer. As well as the rotating capsule, the Mouse includes a custom suspension shock mount, isolating the Mouse body from any low-frequency vibrations when mounted on a stand. This will remove any excessive noise caused by vibrations through the microphone stand and keep your recordings clean.
The core of the Mouse displays the quality and attention to detail that put the microphone in the elite bracket. The Mouse is a pressure-gradient, cardioid condenser microphone, employing a hand-built, single-membrane diaphragm that has been tuned to perfection. The hand-built diaphragm is constructed with a 6-micron mylar film, sputtered with a mixture of pure gold and aluminium, tensioned by brass backplates. With this combination, you can be sure that the Mouse is sensitive enough to capture every detail of your performance while remaining firm to high SPL ratings up to 138dB.
The circuitry onboard the Mouse retains the high standards shown throughout the design by utilising a hand-selected, Class A fully discrete circuit. The Class-A circuit combined with the onboard transformer ensures that the sound that you record, hits the diaphragm and is transduced as accurately as possible, creating a pure and transparent signal path. This allows you to hear in unrivalled accuracy your sound source, letting you make more informed decisions on your microphone placement.
The Mouse’s extended frequency response and powerful bottom end make it an ideal mic for recording kick drums, floor toms or bass guitar cabinets. And with its innovative rotating head, you can position the capsule at any angle to dial in the perfect tone. However, don't overlook the Mouse on any sound source you throw at it!
Put the Mouse in front of a singer to get an inspired performance that sits in the mix with little to no equalisation. Tilt the capsule up (toward the forehead) for more projection and head tone, straight on at the mouth for maximum brightness and intelligibility, or down toward the chest for more robust lows and smoother highs.
Use the Mouse on tambourine, shaker, bells, clave, and orchestral percussion. Offering astounding clarity and realism unlike most large diaphragm microphones, the Mouse can be positioned quite close to a percussive source without distortion or undue proximity effect.
The Mouse is an excellent mic for any clean amp sound, ranging from bright rhythm chords to warm jazzy tones. Rotate the capsule toward the centre of the speaker to capture more highs, or turn the capsule toward the edge of the cone for a fuller sound with more low end. For overdriven or distorted tones, move the mic towards the outer edge of the cone, or back it away from the amp a foot or more to add a little room sound and soften the extreme high end.
