Vintage amp for modern players
A sound that everyone is familiar with, MAmp delivers the unmistakable sound of a softly driven amplifier, adding harmonic excitement, creative distortion and subtle saturation to almost any sound in your project. Modelled from vintage analog components and recreated to perfection in the digital domain, MAmp was taken directly from the MVintageRotary plug-in's now-famous distortion algorithm, enhanced with more features.
You will find a range of modulation capabilities to add movement and dynamism to your amplifier including rotary switching for gentle swaying or seamless distortion amount changes which react to different input signals, it's all there to see. In addition, Melda MAmp features an integrated tube saturation simulator to deliver a classic high-end shimmer to your sound source without the unwanted harshness of digital distortions.
Suitable for surround sound processing
Whether you're working on music, game audio, film, TV or even VR audio, Melda MAmp can handle everything from mono, stereo, mid/side, eight-channel surround and up to 7th-order ambisonics for immersive 64-channel audio.
Store, save and share your presets
Once you have found a sound that suits the needs of your mix or project, Melda have included a carefully designed storage database to load up your presets in any future projects in any host. Inside the preset database, your presets can be automatically uploaded to a shared server where other like-minded users can download your presets. You can also download presets direct from the database to your plug-in and expand your collection of presets from other users in the community.
Audition multiple sounds simultaneously
Offering an almost unlimited number of different sounds and combinations, Melda MAmp employs multiple switching systems to audition multiple different settings at the same time. Instead of the traditional A/B switching, Melda has included an A - H switching, letting you load up to eight instances of different settings and switch between them seamlessly. What's more, instances A - D can also be morphed between using the onboard X/Y pad, allowing you to find the perfect blend between four sounds simultaneously!
Combine several parameters together with Multiparameters
Ideal for experimental sound design, Multiparameters let you manipulate multiple parameters together in one macro control. With this, you can completely transform your sound in as few steps as possible, making it ideal for automation purposes or for combining several multiparameters to create a unique sound unheard of before.
State of the art randomization
Want to leave your sound design up to chance without turning a single dial? You can with the Randomization function inside Melda MAmp. Three different randomization options are available including complete randomization of every parameter inside the plug-in, subtle changes to your current settings and smart randomization which analyses parameters and your incoming audio to optimise settings.
An intelligent process, Melda's randomization learns from existing settings and compares against optimised parameters for a musical experience which always aims to enhance your settings. You can even lock certain parameters you wish to be excluded.
Automatic gain compensation (AGC)
When creating tones or browsing presets within Melda MAmp, you will only hear the change in sound that your processing applies and not the volume change. We can often be fooled into thinking that a louder sound is better without the context of hearing how it sounds when level-matched. Melda has included Automatic Gain Compensation across the entire plug-in which adapts to settings to ensure the output is only as loud as the input to make better mixing decisions.
Not only this, but Melda MAmp also features a Safety Limiter fixed to the output level at 0dB. This ensures that any adjustments to the output volume that you make in your processing won't go above digital clipping and will hit the brickwall limiter, saving your ears from any potentially harmfully loud sounds.
Audition multiple settings instantly
With such a wide array of different tones available inside MAmp, you might struggle to find which song fits your music the best. To help you quickly compare several different settings, Melda has included an A/B comparison switch. This lets you audition two settings simultaneously without needing to dial in the settings every time.
Taking it one step further, MAmp includes A - H switching, offering up to eight slots of settings where you can freely switch between all eight to find the right sound for your song. Additionally, Slots A - D are available in the built-in X-Y pad, letting you blend between four potential settings and find the right balance between each of them.
