Nine filter types per band
Across the entire frequency range, MEqualizerLP features peak, low-shelf, high-shelf, low-pass, high-pass, single-pole low-pass and high-pass, band-pass and notch filters. With this flexibility, you can carve any shape you need in your frequency range making it applicable to any instrument, group or mix in your projects.
Three EQ algorithms with superb linear-phase processing
Providing multiple different algorithms with approximately the same frequency response, you can select between true bi-directional filtering algorithm, FFT and standard minimum phase EQ. Also included is the superb linear-phase processing algorithm, meticulously tweaked to provide the most accurate phase response across the entire frequency range, even at lower frequencies.
In-depth visualisation
An important addition to any EQ, the MEqualizerLP features a raft of accurate visualisation tools to monitor your processing. Of course, your ears should be the final judge of your tone, but having assistance along the way is always useful. Extremely flexible, Melda's metering system includes classic meters, time-based graphs, individual meters for input, output, stereo width, loudness, frequency spectrum waveforms, bandwidth, gain reduction, sidechain and much more.
Powerful spectrum analyzer and sonogram
Going above standard visualisation meters, MEqualizerLP includes an outstanding spectrum analyzer combined with a sonogram for unique metering options. Across both sonogram and frequency analyzer, you can explore the dominant frequencies in detail with peak-detection mode, hone in on the low bass frequencies in high-resolution with super-resolution mode, independently analyze fundamental frequencies with deharmonization and account for human hearing quirks with prefiltering.
Authentic tube saturation
Just like vintage hardware EQs and console EQs, MEqualierLP features a saturation circuit which introduces realistic analog-emulated saturation. Not quite distortion, the saturation circuit produces additional harmonics, grit and character to your tone and is not affected by the gain levels of each band, making it easier than on hardware to control the amount of saturation across the entire frequency range.
Integrates into virtually any setup
Whether you're performing live, on-the-fly or working in a studio, MEqualizerLP lets you work the way you want to. Hosting a powerful MIDI processor, you can adjust parameters in real time with any MIDI-compatible keyboard or controller. This means adjusting gain levels per band, bandwidth, centre frequencies, saturation and much more all without ever touching a mouse and keyboard.
Suitable for surround sound processing
Whether you're working on music, game audio, film, TV or even VR audio, MEqualizerLP can handle everything from mono, stereo, mid/side, eight-channel surround and up to 7th-order ambisonics for immersive 64-channel audio.
Store, save and share your presets
Once you have found a sound that suits the needs of your mix or project, Melda have included a carefully designed storage database to load up your presets in any future projects in any host. Inside the preset database, your presets can be automatically uploaded to a shared server where other like-minded users can download your presets. You can also download presets direct from the database to your plug-in and expand your collection of presets from other users in the community.
Combine several parameters together with Multiparameters
Ideal for experimental sound design, Multiparameters let you manipulate multiple parameters together in one macro control. With this, you can completely transform your sound in as few steps as possible, making it ideal for automation purposes or for combining several multiparameters to create a unique sound unheard of before.
Automatic gain compensation (AGC)
When creating tones or browsing presets within Melda MEqualizerLP, you will only hear the change in sound that your processing applies and not the volume change. We can often be fooled into thinking that a louder sound is better without the context of hearing how it sounds when level-matched. Melda has included Automatic Gain Compensation across the entire plug-in which adapts to settings to ensure the output is only as loud as the input to make better mixing decisions.
Not only this, but Melda MEqualizerLP also features a Safety Limiter fixed to the output level at 0dB. This ensures that any adjustments to the output volume that you make in your processing won't go above digital clipping and will hit the brickwall limiter, saving your ears from any potentially harmfully loud sounds.
Audition multiple settings instantly
With such a wide array of different tones available inside MEqualizerLP, you might struggle to find which song fits your music the best. To help you quickly compare several different settings, Melda has included an A/B comparison switch. This lets you audition two settings simultaneously without needing to dial in the settings every time.
Taking it one step further, Melda MEqualizerLP includes A - H switching, offering up to eight slots of settings where you can freely switch between all eight to find the right sound for your song. Additionally, Slots A - D are available in the built-in X-Y pad, letting you blend between four potential settings and find the right balance between each of them.
