The Lemur 5 is a cutting-edge active modelling speaker with a broad range of finetuning capabilities. It can emulate the output characteristics of five other audio systems for you to test your sounds on, which you can select on the back of the speaker unit. You can choose between the Lemur 5 native, an 8030 style, a white cone, an RKT 5, a cube 5 and a standard home HiFi system sonic character imitation. Having six different types of speakers in one is a useful tool for anyone trying to create a mix that sounds good on any system.

Versatile design, robust construction

In addition to the modelling technology and its pre-sets, you can adjust your Lemur 5 speakers to suit your acoustic space. With the room compensation fine tuning functions, you have the ability to apply a three step low-cut filter, a mid-range bell filter, a high shelfing filter and a limiter. Each filter allows you to adjust individual frequency ranges and the limiter safeguards your speaker from clipping. You can control the master volume with the gain knob next to the other controls. A choice of three input connections allows you to use the speaker with a wide range of devices, you can connect an RCA cable, a three pin XLR cable or a ¼ inch TRS jack to the Lemur 5. A five inch kevlar woofer produces warm and detailed bass frequencies and a one inch aluminium tweeter provides ultimate clarity on the mid and high ranges. The speakers are driven by a class D amplifier and the whole system is controlled by powerful digital signal processors.
