Firstly, the Gate module employs a Close and Open threshold level, letting you set the response of your gate to the quiet and loud sections of your audio, perfect for gating only the unwanted noise and leaving out the rest whilst maintaining the tail of your drum. Next, a Transient Shaper can enhance the attack portion of your drum hit, making it ideal for adding punch to weak or poorly recorded bass or snare drums to cut through a mix.
