Slate FG-Stress Compressor is a 1:1 replication of one of the most revered hardware compressors. Every aspect of the hardware counterpart has been meticulously modelled to deliver the most authentic software emulation possible of this studio classic. All eight ratios have been modelled including the famous 10:1 Opto ratio, accurately compensating for the topology change with each ratio, effectively giving you eight unique compression tones and responses. Packed with all the bells and whistles, Slate FG-Stress includes all the options available on the original including the detection circuit and audio path adjustments for varying compression tone and colouration in your processing.

An aggressive compressor, FG-Stress pairs perfectly with just about anything you throw at it, it's almost impossible to make sound bad. Variable attack and release times let you customise the response to your track and input and output knobs control the overall levels in and out of the plug-in to tune how aggressively the compressor responds. Experiment with the Nuke setting on your lead vocals or drum room microphones and hear how they explode with character or enhance the fatness and warmth of your bass guitar with the 10:1 Opto ratio. You can even tame harsh upper midranges in electric guitars by engaging the mid-range detection circuit for smooth and rounded tones.
