SoundForce SFC-Mini V3 MIDI Controller Overview

The SoundForce SFC-Mini V3 MIDI Controller provides hands-on control for Minimoog virtual instruments and plugin emulations, basing its design on the classic hardware. Building on the success of previous versions, the SFC-Mini MIDI Controller is perfect for synth enthusiasts and digital musicians. Bridging the gap between analog hardware and virtual instruments; the SFC-Mini builds on the original design, incorporating OSC2 CTRL, UNISON and POLY switches. These newly introduced controls are designed for use with Arturia?s emulation of the Minimoog.


Select between waveforms and dial in your sound using the various pots and switches. The modulation section features dedicated potentiometers for the filter/amp section including cutoff, resonance and contour controls. The potentiometers provide maximum precision for when dialing in your sound. The controller is also class-compliant; meaning you can plug it in and get started straight away without the need for any additional drivers.


Staying true to its hardware counterpart, the SFC-Mini V3 features a vintage-style design with wooden panels on the side reminiscent of classic analog gear. The boutique design is constructed from 100 percent sheet metal with an aluminium, powder-coated front panel with scratch-proof white ink. One of the most unique features is the ability to redefine the CCs for each switch and rotary pat via the online web app (see below for more details).

Expanded controls and customisable interface

Basing its design on the original Minimoog interface, the SFC-Mini V3 mirrors the original interface with the addition of four new switches. The new switches come in the form of OSC2 CTRL, UNISON and POLY. These switches are intended for use with Arturia’s Minimoog plugin emulation, expanding on the original design for a more versatile sonic palette Holding the ‘Shift’ button unlocks alternative cc messages for each rotary potentiometer, allowing you to redefine the CCs and customise the MIDI controller’s mapping. Using the SoundForce Control Panel Chrome web app you can redefine and assign the various controls for added flexibility.

Robust, boutique design – powered via USB

The beautifully crafted enclosure and boutique-style wooden side panels make the SFC-Mini V3 look as good as it feels. The controller is assembled in the Netherlands with components sourced from Europe and Asia. The enclosure is constructed from sheet metal with a powder-coated aluminium front panel. The white ink used to annotate the controls is made from scratch-proof paint ensuring a long lifespan that can withstand the rigor of day-to-day use. The class-compliant design is USB-powered, with a USB (type-B) connection on the rear panel.
