About David Oliver
David Oliver is a celebrated percussionist renowned for his dynamic and compelling contributions to the soundtracks of many award-winning films and TV shows, operates from his Somerset, UK-based studio. His innovative approach caught the attention of the acclaimed composer William Goodchild in 2012. Their first collaboration was for the National Geographic wildlife documentary "Ultimate Honey Badger," where David's rhythm ensemble recordings played a significant part. This project turned out to be exceptionally successful, garnering the highest viewership in its category on the channel in 2014, according to Earth Touch News Network on January 9, 2014.
This initial success led to a series of notable collaborations with Goodchild, including on "Africa’s Giant Killers" (BBC Natural World, 2015) and "Jago: A Life Underwater" (James Morgan Films, co-directed by James Reed, 2015), which received the Jackson Hole Grand Teton Award and Wildscreen Panda Award in 2016. David has also collaborated with Emmy award-winning composer Barnaby Taylor on soundtracks for "Elephant Family And Me" (BBC Natural World, 2016) and "Ghost of the Mountain" (Disney Nature, 2017).
