Ruach was initially founded in 2011, manufacturing custom design cajons from a small garage in Northern Ireland. These early designs introduced an innovative snare lock allowing easy switching from a crisp snare to an open, hollow sound, which is still present on most current models.

Ruach later produced one of the first working cajon kick drums, a highly sought after feature for many percussionists.Ruach has since grown, and now produce a range of handmade musical instruments and accessories including hand percussion, pedal boards and the acclaimed Ruach Road Stompbox. The Road Stompbox foot pedal produces a great bass drum sound, and the ability to plug straight into a PA system or amp makes it an ideal accompaniment for buskers and acoustic musicians.
