Incredibly versatile design

Although the Elkhart 200TBFG is best suited in an orchestral or brass band environment, it would also blend in nicely with a jazz band or small ensemble. The rose brass bell is popular among orchestral players for its ability to achieve much darker sounds than yellow brass can. This is because rose brass contains a higher amount of copper than yellow. While maintaining a high level of projection, rose brass manages to provide a broader, fuller tone. Once the 200TBFG has been constructed, a bright layer of clear lacquer is applied to keep the trombone looking its best.

Closed wrap design

The F attachment on the Elkhart 200TBFG features a traditional closed wrap design. This type of design is prefered by beginners as it is easier to produce a stable note with better tuning. It is also a more protected design compared to an open wrap design which stretches beyond the tuning slide and is vulnerable to denting.

Included accessories

To ensure that you can look after your new saxophone, Elkhart has included everything that you need to get started. To keep the trombone safe, the 200TBFG comes with a lightweight case that offers strong protection. On the outside of the case, you will find two robust handles. On the front of the case, there is a large zipped pocket which is perfect for all of your sheet music and various accessories. Moulded especially for the 200TBFG, the Elkhart trombone fits perfectly inside of the case. For an extra touch of protection, the inside is lined with a soft-touch material that won't scratch your instrument. There is also a dedicated compartment for any accessories. The 200TBFG also includes a mouthpiece, which has been designed explicitly for the Elkhart trombone.
